Build up to 150 flight hours in Florida!
Are you a newly qualified pilot with a Private Pilot Licence and considering being an airline pilot? If you’re thinking about training towards your CPL (Commercial Pilot Licence), then we have a programme that could help fast track you to the 150 flight hours needed to start the next phase of training.
Our Hours Building course is a supervised 10 week programme at our Orlando, Florida Academy location – with all your accommodation included!
To continue down the modular route towards a Commercial Pilot Licence and ATPL with any training provider, you will need to have achieved a Private Pilot Licence and 150 hours of flight time. If you are interested in working towards your ATPL, why not combine your Hours Building course with Theoretical Knowledge training?

Hours Building entry criteria
To be accepted on our Hours Building course you must meet the following entry criteria:
Experience
- UKCAA, EASA or FAA PPL holder
Age and height
- 17+ to submit an application. 18+ to commence training
- Height between 5 ft. 2 in. (157 cm) and 6 ft. 3 in. (191 cm). Applicants outside of this may still apply to our Hours Building course but will need an ergonomic assessment
Language
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Non-native English speakers must achieve level 5.5 individual and overall in IELTS or equivalent ICAO level 4 prior to start of training
Visas
- If required, obtain / be able to obtain M-1 Student Visa for your flight training in the U.S.A.
Medical
- Obtain / be able to obtain a UKCAA or EASA unrestricted Class 2 Medical depending on your chosen route. Take a look at our guide to medical requirements
